Sopa announces an open call for our annual juried exhibition, the ‘Under 8’ Event. Beginning April 2nd, 2009, the gallery will be exhibiting original art works priced under eight hundred dollars.

The goal of this event is two fold: to promote the value of original art to the public by making it affordable; and to promote the exceptional work of many local emerging artists, as well as artwork from selected international artists. Canvases of any size will be considered for the show. All work must be priced retail at or below $800.00. Artists will Receive 50% of the retail price.

To be considered for this event please submit three jpgs of your work to sopafinearts@shaw.ca or send us your web site address or an HTML where we can view your work no later than March 6th, 2009. You will be notified if your work is accepted.  This show runs from April 2 - April 11.

This call is international, open to all geographical locations.
