MAY 2 - JUNE 2 OPENING RECEPTION:THURSDAY, MAY 2 7-9PM Sopa Fine Arts presents an exhibition of new work from three gallery artists, Sheila Norgate from Gabriola Island, Bill Gingles from Louisiana and Kristine Paton from Shawnigan Lake. This show addresses how and why we respond to art and the reasons people and make the choices they do when creating or buying artwork. The idea that beauty is in the eye of the beholder certainly holds true with art, as well as all things style related. Everyone has various home decor collections, and possessions that speak about who we are; your art goes even further to speak a bit about the artist who created it. The key is finding art that reflects things we enjoy seeing, feelings we can sympathize with or concepts that ring true with our own intellect. It's worth considering what state of mind your surroundings put you in when you walk in the door after a long day. A reception for State of Mind will be held on May 2nd from 7-9 pm, the exhibition continues through June 2nd.
